Q: Why is the branch closing?
A: Mike Doran, GenFed’s CEO said, “GenFed’s Lorain, Baumhart Road branch traffic patterns have decreased. We’d like to better serve membership, employees, and the credit union as a whole by allocating these resources differently. The same access is available with a nearby traditional branch, or a credit union shared branch, and those in-person options will continue to be supplemented with our digital channels and ATM network with over 170,000 ATMs where you can conduct many of the same transactions as you would in a branch 24 hours a day.”
